We are now offering Impact Doors to complete your entire home protection system. Our doors are all impact rated and are approved for Florida Building Code. Doors can be solid or inserted with impact glass by ODL. The full line brochure from Builders Hardware can be viewed by clicking this link. All entry doors are available, but Impact Rated doors are located on pages 12-15.
Here are a few examples of the inserts available in impact glass:

The Florida Building Code has wind zone specific performance requirements. Doorglass installations in the wind-borne debris region must meet the missile impact standard or be shuttered.

Approved Systems
ODL Severe Weather® Doorglass can be used with an impact-rated door system to meet Florida building codes.
Severe Weather® Doorglass also has a Miami-Dade County Notice of Acceptance NOA#03-0428.02 (exp. 7/28/10) that allows it to be substituted in any glazed door or sidelight with an approved missile impact NOA. Both NOAs will need to be provided to the inspector. Severe Weather® Doorglass can be used to replace shuttered sidelights that are part of an opaque door impact NOA.
